Established in 1999, the Alaska Shirt Company in Skagway is a high-energy shopping—and saving—experience like none other. More than 7,000 square feet are dedicated to the best in iconic Alaska apparel, more than 100,000 T-shirts, and an inspired collection of souvenirs that capture the illustrious history and scenic wonders of this “Gateway to the Klondike.” Located in historic Skagway near the Train Depot at 1st and Broadway.
Gold prospectors rushed to it. Jack London wrote about it in The Call of the Wild. And the Chilkoots and Chilkats called it home. Skagway has a rich history that reached fever pitch when it became known as the Gateway to the Klondike in the Gold Rush boom of the early 1900s. Today, Skagway still celebrates this golden era together with the region’s spectacular natural surroundings—and so does our store.
